We need to make gains in this chamber.

Texas Democrats have made up huge ground in recent years, flipping 12 seats and breaking a Republican supermajority over the last two elections. Texas Republicans have responded to growing Democratic strength in the state with an extreme gerrymander, making flipping the state house much more difficult in the short term. With a majority out of reach in 2022, Democrats must support candidates in key districts to both protect gains from the last two cycles and begin to chip away at Republicans’ 10-seat majority.
