What's at stake

Heath care. Addressing deep racial disparities in health care. New Jersey is ranked as one of the best states for health care, but 20% percent of its uninsured population is Black, while Black people account for just 15% of the state’s general population, and 37% of its uninsured population is Latino, while Latinos account for 20% of the general population. Retaining New Jersey's 2018 gains in the U.S. House and maintaining Democratic Congressional majorities will be key to protecting and improving ACA and expanding Medicare access and addressing these racial disparities.

Education. New Jersey ranks as the top state for education. New Jersey also ranks first in preschool enrollment. So far under his leadership, newly reelected Governor Phil Murphy (D) has increased statewide funding for pre-K through 12 by nearly $1.5 billion overall. Voting for Democrats to continue and improve the status of Garden State education.

Infrastructure. New Jersey gets a D+ for infrastructure. In New Jersey there are 502 bridges and more than 3,995 miles of highway in poor condition and 25% of transit vehicles in the state are past useful life. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that President Biden signed into law last year will provide an estimated $12.31 billion in funding for much needed repairs to New Jersey's transit infrastructure.
