Crash Course: Organizing your campus

Want to take your campus organizing skills to the next level? Apply to our free, nine-week training course to learn how to start a Swing Left group on your campus and defeat Republican extremism at the ballot box!

What: 9 virtual sessions / When: Wednesdays | 7:30–9pm ET | 9/13–11/8

We have the power to defeat Republican extremism at the ballot box in 2023, 2024, and beyond by focusing on the most competitive races, where the time spent writing letters, making phone calls, and knocking on doors could literally decide the outcome of an election and who holds power in our government.

You can get involved by starting a Swing Left group on your campus—the best way to multiply your impact and give other students the opportunity to make a difference on the issues that matter to them.

Over the course of nine training sessions, Swing Left staff will cover essential topics for campus organizing, including:

Recruiting and retaining volunteers

Building and growing your team

Organizing voter contact events

Increasing your digital impact

There's so much at stake for college students right now: the climate crisis, voting rights, reproductive freedom, safety from gun violence, a fair economy, access to quality health care, and the stability of our democracy itself. You can help turn out more voters in the most competitive elections up and down the ballot by organizing students to take meaningful action with you—and this training course will prepare you with the skills you need to do just that.

Through Swing Left's Crash Course, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with and learn from college leaders from across the country—because taking action with others is always more energizing, fun, and powerful than taking action alone!
