Protect abortion access in Ohio
Reproductive freedom is on the ballot in Ohio this fall. This summer, Ohioans turned out in historic numbers for an August election to protect the power of their vote, defeating the Ohio GOP’s anti-democratic ballot measure and securing a path to codify abortion rights in their state constitution this fall. This success was thanks to the incredible efforts of the Ohio Democratic Party, the Vote No in August coalition, and this Swing Left community. Now it's time to join together again.
We're connecting with voters ahead of the Nov 7 election to encourage them to "Vote YES on Issue 1" to protect reproductive freedom:

How we got here and why this election matters
When Ohio Republicans’ scheme to undermine democracy in the August special election became clear, grassroots volunteers in Ohio and across the country sprang to action. And together, we encouraged voters to turn out in historic numbers and dealt GOP extremism another critical defeat at the ballot box.

As we called Ohioans and knocked on doors over the summer, many potential voters our volunteers spoke to didn’t know that a special election was happening, let alone that the power of their vote or the future of abortion access was at stake. Those critical conversations can help inform and motivate voters to head to the polls and turn the tide—especially in a close election.
Now, once again, we have the chance to reach more Ohio voters and let them know that voting YES on Issue 1 would amend the state constitution to include that every individual has a right to make their own reproductive decisions on contraception, fertility treatment, miscarriage care, and abortion.
By connecting with Ohioans to discuss the stakes in this November's election, and helping folks make a plan to vote YES on Issue 1, we can protect reproductive freedom for millions in the state and remind Republicans in Ohio and across the country that the fight against abortion access is a losing one.
