Grassroots leaders and volunteer organizers are the lifeblood of the progressive movement. Whether you lead a grassroots group (Swing Left, Indivisible, local Dem club—you name it!), host a Ground Truth canvass or work with a local campaign, or just bring together a few friends to take action periodically, the relationships you build, the events you host, and the community you create are all essential to winning in 2026 and beyond. And our new Ground Truth program relies entirely on volunteer hosts.
Swing Left has always worked to support and empower volunteer leaders and we’ve developed a strong reputation for our training and resources. So now we want to make that support available to any local organizer who’s looking to level up their organizing as we head into the midterms.
We’re organizing a four-part training series called Level Up Your Organizing. Each training is a standalone session that helps build your skills and connect you with new resources around a theme. We’ll also share the ongoing support Swing Left offers organizers like you. You can join any or all of these sessions and feel free to invite other organizers in your community.

In 2026, Swing Left officially launched Ground Truth, a new model of grassroots organizing that reimagines how Democrats talk with voters to rebuild trust and win lasting power. Pairing deep listening at scale with AI-powered technology, Ground Truth talks to every voter—not just likely supporters—and produces rich, qualitative data that helps Democratic candidates win by anchoring their outreach and policies in the concerns of their constituents.
