Winning North Carolina

Despite Democrats winning multiple U.S. House races in 2022, Republicans won at the state level, winning an outright majority in the state Supreme Court and supermajorities in both legislative chambers. Republicans have quickly used that advantage to further gerrymander electoral maps and deny North Carolinians fair access to the ballot. Bringing democracy back to North Carolina in 2024 starts with winning the open governor's seat, as Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper is term limited. North Carolina is also projected to be competitive in the race to reelect President Joe Biden.
